Elisa envisioned herself thriving at Northwest because of the many success stories she heard from other Bearcats. She also appreciated the multitude of benefits Northwest offers, such as its textbook and laptop rental program. These characteristics made Elisa’s decision to attend Northwest the right one.
Elisa’s brothers – who both have disabilities – inspired Elisa to pursue a career in therapeutic recreation at Northwest and eventually attend graduate school.
Elisa credits her positive experiences at Northwest to Dr. Sue Myllykangas and the rest of the School of Health Science and Wellness faculty. She cherishes each experience she had at Northwest, including a class trip to Colorado during a recreation course. Each memory, activity and piece of knowledge make Elisa career ready, day one.
